We’re a private server.
The world has changed a lot since Mir first came out, and these days we have to put proper documents on the website to cover ourselves.
That’s the law side of things.
This page is the normal-person version.
Here’s the short version of what actually matters.
We don’t want your life story
We cannot see your password.
We do not collect personal details like your real name, home address, or mobile number. We don’t want that data and we have no use for it.
If you buy anything in-game, payment details stay with the card/payment processor — not us. We will never know where you live or your real name unless you choose to put that on your account yourself. We don’t want those details and we don’t care about them.
We just want to run a server.
Your account is your responsibility
Nobody on our team is going to log into your account for fun.
Nobody is going to “hack” your account from our side.
If someone gets into your account, it’s almost always because login details were shared, reused, or stolen from your own device/email.
You can save your username and password in the client if you want. That data is encrypted. We only recommend saving it on a personal/private computer. If someone somehow got that file from your PC, it should be useless to them.
Rules in plain English
Most of you already know Mir and know how to behave.
We all love a bit of banter. You’re not going to get banned for swearing in a PM or mail to your mate.
You will get banned for racist / sexist abuse aimed at random people you don’t know.
Don’t be a keyboard warrior. Speak to people like you’re at work.
What we can see
We can see the email address on your account.
We will not sell your data.
We will not discuss your account with anyone except via the email address on that account.
