Heroes
Your Companion Through The World Of Mir
Heroes are AI-controlled companion characters that fight alongside you throughout your adventures.
A hero can attack monsters, cast spells, carry equipment and develop independently from your main character.
Unlike pets or mounts, heroes are fully-fledged companions with their own levels, spells, equipment and progression.
Weekly Hero Rolls
Every week, players may visit the Hero NPC and roll for a hero.
Two dice are rolled.
The first number determines the hero class:
- Warrior
- Wizard
- Taoist
- Assassin
- Archer
- Choice
The second determines the hero gender.
The result determines which hero profile may be summoned for that week.
A lucky roll of 6 allows you to choose any class you wish.

Ten Hero Profiles
Every character has access to ten unique hero profiles.
One for every class and gender combination.
- Male Warrior
- Female Warrior
- Male Wizard
- Female Wizard
- Male Taoist
- Female Taoist
- Male Assassin
- Female Assassin
- Male Archer
- Female Archer
Each profile develops independently and maintains its own progression.
Hero Levels
Heroes gain experience while fighting monsters and can level up just like players.
Each profile maintains its own:
- Level
- Experience
- Statistics
- Progress
A Level 80 Warrior Hero and a Level 20 Taoist Hero can exist on the same character at the same time.
When that hero becomes available again through the weekly roll, all progress is retained.
Hero Equipment
Heroes can wear their own equipment and carry items in their inventory.
Equipment is stored separately for each profile, allowing players to develop completely different builds for different hero classes.
Weapons, armour, jewellery and other equipment can all be used to strengthen your hero.
Hero Spells
Heroes can learn spells appropriate to their class.
Spell books are obtained throughout the game world and can be taught to heroes in the same way players learn new abilities.
Each hero profile maintains its own spell list and spell progression.
A Wizard Hero may become a master of destructive magic while a Taoist Hero focuses on support and summons.
Hero Death
Heroes can be injured and defeated in combat.
If a hero dies outside a safe zone, normal item drop rules apply.
However, heroes do not lose levels or experience when defeated.
Long-Term Progression
Heroes are designed as a long-term progression system.
Every level earned, spell learned and item equipped contributes towards developing a collection of powerful companion characters.
Some players may focus on a single favourite hero.
Others may build all ten profiles and create specialised companions for different situations.
The choice is yours.
Build Your Collection
Over time, players can develop an entire roster of heroes covering every class and gender combination.
Whether you prefer a heavily armoured Warrior, a powerful Wizard or a supportive Taoist, your heroes will continue to grow alongside your character throughout your journey across Mir.
