Today’s development work focused on the in-game mail system.

Mail plays a much bigger role than simply sending messages between players. It is also responsible for handling item attachments, gold transfers, system rewards and a number of automated game processes.

A full audit was completed to review how mail is created, stored, delivered and collected.

The review followed the entire lifecycle of a message, from creation through to collection, ensuring that attached items and rewards are correctly tracked throughout the process.

Several improvements were identified during the audit, including opportunities to strengthen ownership tracking, improve logging and ensure that item custody remains consistent while attachments are in transit.

This work forms part of the wider server modernisation project, where every valuable item is being moved towards a fully auditable ownership model.

Although players may not notice any immediate changes, these improvements help ensure that mail remains one of the safest and most reliable ways to transfer items and rewards throughout the game world.

As always, our goal is to build systems that are not only functional today, but remain reliable for years to come.
