As development continues, increasing attention is being given to one of the most important aspects of any MMORPG: the economy.

A healthy economy doesn’t happen by accident. Every monster drop, NPC shop, crafting recipe, refining system and player transaction contributes to the flow of items and gold throughout the world.

Today’s work focused on reviewing several economic systems to ensure they are working together correctly and can be balanced effectively as the server grows.

Particular attention is being given to how gold enters and leaves the game, how valuable items are acquired, and how resources move between players through trading and other systems.

While balance adjustments will continue throughout testing, our aim is to create an economy that rewards effort, supports different play styles and remains stable over the long term.

This work also supports future statistics and reporting systems that will allow us to better understand how players interact with the game world and identify potential issues before they become larger problems.

Building a great Legend of Mir server isn’t just about adding new content. It’s also about ensuring that the systems behind that content remain fair, rewarding and enjoyable for years to come.
