Today we completed another step towards modernising the server infrastructure with the introduction of additional real-time monitoring and reporting systems.
Historically, many Legend of Mir servers relied on log files and player reports to identify issues. While this approach works, it often means problems are discovered long after they occur.
Our goal is to move towards a more proactive approach.
New monitoring systems are being introduced to provide better visibility into what is happening across the game world, including player activity, item creation, gold generation, monster statistics and other key metrics.
Having access to this information allows us to identify unusual behaviour, balance issues and technical problems much more quickly than would otherwise be possible.
These systems also provide valuable information for future development decisions. Instead of relying on assumptions, we can use real gameplay data to understand how players are interacting with different features and areas of the game.
While most of this work takes place behind the scenes, it plays an important role in helping us build a stable, reliable and enjoyable MMORPG experience.
As the server continues to grow, these monitoring tools will become increasingly valuable in helping us maintain performance, investigate issues and make informed development decisions based on real player activity.
