Trade System Audit Completed
Today we completed a comprehensive audit of the NPC trading system. The review followed the entire process from a player clicking an NPC, through the server packet handlers, script processing, goods generation, price calculations and the final item list presented to the player. The purpose of this audit was to ensure that shop inventories, buy/sell […]
Sneak Peek
Put a preview page live today: This isn’t marketing fluff. It’s a snapshot of what we’re building around the server. Live item stats.Monster data.Rankings.Guilds.Gold tracking.Item history.Spell listings.Account systems. Some of it is finished. Some of it is still being wired up.Some of it will change. The important part is this: The website isn’t separate from the […]
Website Live
Website is now live (still building and adding to the site). Proper domain.Proper structure.Clean theme.Custom logo done. Forums are up as well: https://forums.mirvengeance.com And the item system is live: The item page connects directly to the live server. No static lists. No manually updated spreadsheets. Real-time data.Real stats.Exactly as they exist in-game. Still a lot to […]
Items Rebuilt
Rebuilt how items are created. Centralised creation logic.Controlled stat ranges.Named overrides.Drop control. Also implemented full item logging. From the moment it dropsTo where it ends upTo when it disappears Everything tracked. Not for control. For visibility.
Characters & Inventory Converted
Character data converted. Inventory converted. Magic converted. User item system rebuilt. All saving and loading cleanly. No dual systems. No hidden writes. Everything now reads from one place. So far, smooth.
Accounts Rebuilt Properly
Rebuilt the account system from scratch. No account IDs.No secret questions. No flat file nonsense. Everything tied to email. Real email required.Temp password sent.Forced password change on first login. It works.Properly. This removes most of the old account problems in one go. Security updated to modern standards.Password hashing strengthened significantly. Feels solid.
Domain Registered
Registered the website name today. Mir Vengeance. The name stuck. This isn’t a test folder anymore. If this goes anywhere, it goes under that name.
This Is No Longer Just Me
Up until now this has been a solo rebuild. Spent months understanding it.Breaking it.Rebuilding it.Deleting it.Starting again. This week I explained the full plan to a couple of people I trust. Not hype. Not “let’s make a quick server”. A proper rebuild. How it works. Why the old structure was fragile. How we’re separating logic from data. How this […]
Enough
After months of restructuring, I deleted it all. Again. Not out of frustration. Out of clarity. I now understand the entire codebase. Where things link.Where they shouldn’t link. What needs to go first. What order changes must happen in. Time to start clean.Properly.
Late Night Mistake
Big mistake tonight. Pasted a chunk of code into the wrong file. Didn’t realise.Kept working.Committed more changes. Two weeks of work effectively gone. Sat staring at it for a while. No backup. No undo.Just gone. Lesson learned. Step away when tired.
