Update — found the real problem without more detail. Bug Bat Maggots (Stone Tomb / Zuma / Hwan Ma Jin) only spit BugBat adds. That BugBat row was a stub: level 5 / 3 HP, so the bats popped instantly and the maggots felt broken. Live SQL retuned BugBat to L28 / 120 HP / DC 8–14 / 640 EXP (same band as Stone Tomb trash). Maggot AI is unchanged — they stay spawners with 0 DC. Needs the next server bounce before in-memory monsters pick up the new stats. After that, kill a maggot pack and the bats should actually fight. Reply if they still feel off.
