We are currently sorting out all the quests in game. We have all the quest written, but not assigned to NPC's.
So as we were reviewing all the quests we sort of decided to use the same framework all all caves.
Of course each cave is going to be totally different due to the layout of each cave, but we feel we have designed approximately 180 different quests for each cave.
With 22 sets of caves, that gives us the potential for nearly 4,000 individual cave quests. This is not including now cave related quests.
These will not all be simple “kill X monsters” quests either.
Challenges will include:
You will not be able to accept all 180 quests at once.
Each cave will have its own quest progression. You will begin with the easier challenges and must complete them to unlock the next quests.
For example, completing a basic King’s Room run could unlock a timed run. That could then unlock a no-teleport challenge, followed by limited-step runs, restricted kills, floor challenges, survival objectives, weather quests and eventually the hardest boss challenges.
Players will need to work through each cave’s quest chain gradually, with objectives becoming harder and more unusual as they progress.
This turns every cave into its own long-term progression system, rather than giving players a massive list of quests that can all be completed together.
With approximately 180 quests per cave and 22 caves to complete, this should hopefully provide enough challenges to keep everyone occupied for many years.
Or at least keep you busy long enough for us to create another 4,000. ????

- Reaching the King’s Room without killing anything.

- Completing King’s Room challenges during specific weather. Yes all King Rooms have weather, and it looks GREAT! Weather is not 24/7 which is why we have the weather forecast page https://mirvengeance.com/weather-forecast-2/
- Killing bosses between specific in-game times.
- Combined navigation, combat, survival, weather and time challenges.
