From day one, one of the core principles behind Mir Vengeance has been transparency.

Whether it’s item creation, gold generation, trading, mailing, crafting, or player-to-player transactions, we’ve always wanted to ensure that actions can be traced and verified.

Today we’re pleased to announce that all Game Master and Administrator actions are now fully integrated into our audit systems.

This means that any GM command used to:

  • Create items
  • Delete items
  • Add gold
  • Remove gold
  • Modify player inventories
  • Perform administrative actions affecting the game economy

will now be recorded in both our internal audit logs and our public website logs where appropriate.

For players, this provides an additional level of confidence that the game economy is being managed fairly and transparently.

For the development team, it provides valuable information during testing and allows us to quickly identify the source of any issues that may arise.

While the underlying audit system has existed for quite some time, during a recent review we discovered that some GM commands were not being recorded with the same level of detail as normal player actions. The commands themselves were functioning correctly, but their audit trail was incomplete.

This oversight has now been corrected.

Once the server goes live, every item and every piece of gold will have a history. Whether it was looted from a monster, traded between players, purchased from an NPC, created during testing, or removed by an administrator, there will be a record showing exactly what happened.

The goal isn’t to catch people out.

The goal is to ensure that the integrity of the game world can be verified by both the staff team and the community.
