Development today focused on a detailed review of the NPC trading system used throughout the game.

Trading has always been a core part of the Legend of Mir experience. Whether players are purchasing supplies before entering a dungeon, selling loot gathered during hunting sessions, or managing their gold reserves, NPC merchants play an important role in the overall economy.

The audit reviewed the complete trading process from the initial player interaction through to item generation, pricing calculations, inventory handling and packet delivery.

As part of our ongoing Mir server modernisation work, the goal was to ensure that every stage of the trading process behaves consistently and can support future improvements without introducing unnecessary complexity.

This review also highlighted several areas where additional logging and audit systems can be introduced in the future, helping improve support tools and item tracking throughout the game.

While there are no major gameplay changes from this work, maintaining strong foundations is essential for the long-term health of any MMORPG. Every system that is reviewed and documented today makes future development faster, safer and more reliable.

Finally, we would like to acknowledge the wider Legend of Mir community and resources such as LOMCN.net, which have helped preserve knowledge, tools and documentation for Mir developers over the years.

Work now continues on item ownership, auditing systems and further improvements to the game’s underlying architecture.
